But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, EXCEPT I SHALL SEE in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I WILL NOT BELIEVE. And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. AND THOMAS ANSWERED AND SAID unto him, MY LORD AND MY GOD. John 20:24-28. This is called a "Learning Curve" and every one of us go through it. We all start off faithless, and through much trial and error, eventually learn to somewhat trust the Lord. Understand, EVERYONE, saved and not, go through this. Christ is asking all to come unto Him through Salvation. Most say "No". Of those who do say "Yes", now the Learning Curve starts. This is also called, "Running the Race" and "Fight the Good Fight", and again, not all who start will finish. For one reason or another, they will choose to fall by the wayside and not finish. But of those few who will, (the Lord knows), finish the race, the question is, just how far and how fast do you want to Trust the Lord and Grow in Christ? Does He have to prove every little thing He wants to teach you, or was one "proof" enough and you blindly accept EVERYTHING the Bible says about everything? One way, Christ has to prove Himself every time He wants to Teach you something. The better way is once you are Saved, you accept and follow EVERY thing by Faith that Christ shows you. You already have a Heart to Believe, all Christ does now is instruct you on your daily path of blind Obedience. And as you ask for, Wisdom, Knowledge, and Understanding, you'll greatly, Be Blessed.
But (doubting) Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. The other (10) disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: BLESSED ARE THEY THAT HAVE NOT SEEN, AND YET HAVE BELIEVED. And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through His Name. John 20:24-31. If you were to lose your job today, meaning, no income, do you KNOW AND BELIEVE that Christ WILL take care of you, even as you watch all your $$$ reserves dwindle down to nothing? Can you be completely at Peace in the face of dire need, doubting nothing? Or are you at peace only AFTER you find a new job? Can you shout Victoriously EVEN BEFORE the Battle is fought? Or only AFTER the battle is won? Is your Faith Full before the Battle, or only after the battle has been won? The Words of Christ ALONE should be enough to Live in Faith, but alas, how many times do we have to see good results before we will truly believe? Yes, Faith Grows by seeing and hearing, but is once enough for you to believe? Or does the Lord have to run you through the same battle a few times BEFORE you will Believe Him? BELIEVE BEFORE the Battle, and, Be Blessed.
I will praise the LORD according to his Righteousness: and will sing Praise to the Name of the LORD Most High. Psalm 7:17. The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I Praise Him. Psalm 28:7. Praise the Lord ye people, MAGNIFY His Glorious Name. Today is a small milestone for us at MORNINGTIME. We have been writing this daily devotional for a little over nine and a half years and have seen many changes with the technology involved in sending out this thing called MORNINGTIME. The milestone today is the word "MAGNIFY" as it is word number 1,000,000. MORNINGTIME is now over one million words long. It is our prayer that this Daily Devotional is used of the Lord to Bless you and give you a hunger to seek the Lord unto Salvation, and to Encourage you to seek a deeper Faith, Trust, and Walk with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus, the Christ. This Book called the Bible is the "Him Book" for the Christian, as the Bible is ALL ABOUT HIM. The Bible has very simple thoughts to Encourage the weary, and very deep theology to challenge those who love to study His Word. All other books are merely ink on paper. The Bible is also ink on paper, WITH THE VERY BREATH OF THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY INFUSED INTO IT. It is Life and Life Everlasting. Only THE WORD can take the vilest of sinners and completely change them to the sweetest of Saints. God determined it, Christ Paid for it, and the Holy Spirit brings it to pass. All who have a Heart to Hear, WILL BE SAVED. Christ will lose not even one person who has a Heart towards the Lord. All Praise, Glory, and Honour belong to the Lord as we, His servants, grow in Faith, Obedience, Boldness and Love towards and for our fellow man. If MORNINGTIME Encourages you to Grow in the Lord, we are Blessed. Whatever you read or hear that Grows you in Christ, the Lord is Blessed. As we go out into the world Sharing Christ, we will ALL, Be Blessed.
And every man that hath this hope in him PURIFIETH HIMSELF, even as He is pure. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous. And he that keepeth His commandments dwelleth in him, and He in him. And hereby we know that He abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. 1 John 3:3,7,24. YE are of God, little children, and HAVE OVERCOME THEM: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4. For whatsoever is born of God OVERCOMETH THE WORLD: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? And this is the record, that God hath given to us ETERNAL LIFE, and this life IS IN HIS SON. He that hath the Son hath Life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 1 John 5:4-5,11-12. HE THAT OVERCOMETH SHALL INHERIT ALL THINGS; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. Revelation 21:7. These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world YE SHALL HAVE TRIBULATION: but be of good cheer; I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD. John 16:33. The Life of the Believer is full of trials, troubles, testings, and tribulation. This Life in Christ WILL allow the Believer to Overcome ALL troubles, as they go through, AND GROW THROUGH, all adversity unto Holiness, Righteousness, Purity and Patience, VICTORIOUSLY. To Overcome something Is to Battle THROUGH it, and Win in spite of it. Again, EVERYTHING these touches your Life today HAS to get through the Throne Room first. Even in church, you WILL Grow, especially with goats and wolves wanting to take you down. EVERYTHING is "Grow Food". So Grow and Overcome everything VICTORIOUSLY. And when you fall down, GET BACK UP AND KEEP MOVING FORWARD in your Overcoming Walk with Christ. Nothing can keep you from Christ, so keep on reading His Word, Studying Christ, and Understand, you WILL, Be Blessed.
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. FOR WHATSOEVER IS BORN OF GOD OVERCOMETH THE WORLD: AND this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that BELIEVETH THAT JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD? 1 John 5:3-5. He that overcometh shall inherit ALL THINGS; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. Revelation 21:7. American christianity is so diluted, deluded, and watered down that most Americans think they qualify for a trip to Heaven when they die. And of those who do go to a church of some sort, most of them truly believe they are right to call themselves Christians. If your theology believes ADEJLX, than you can find a church that preaches ADEJLX. And because you're so in agreement with their (your) theology, of course you're going to Heaven, YOUR PREACHER SAID SO! Most church "gods" don't hold their congregation accountable to anyone or anything. That's why you go to church, your god is in name only. So just who is a Christian? Are you willing to compare your theology, ideology, and whatever ology to the Bible, in proper context, with other verses, not just 1 verse? Are you willing to shed, shred, and cast aside any and all thinking that DOESN'T line up with the Bible? For starters, stick with comparing the Main Points of Biblical Doctrine and Salvation. Don't worry about how many horses in King Solomon's stalls. Prove to yourself, and others, you are soundly anchored in Christ. This goes for brand new baby lambs to fully mature senior sheep. All sheep know "Mommas" voice. No excuses. Christ Knows His, and His know Christ. Are you in Love with Christ? Is EVERYTHING you have His, AND HE CAN TAKE ANY, OR ALL OF IT, THAT HE WANTS TO? If Christ is #1 in your Life, and it is His Life in you, than you can OVERCOME all satanic attacks, all bad doctrine, and worldly sin, if you will Follow Christ. Grow in Christ, be an Overcomer, then you WILL, Be Blessed.
For whatsoever is born of God OVERCOMETH THE WORLD: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, BUT HE THAT BELIEVETH THAT JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD? 1 John 5: 4-5. (ALL FOLLOWING VERSES ARE FROM THE BOOK OF REVELATION). He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to EAT OF THE TREE OF LIFE, and which is in the midst of the paradise of God. 2:7. FEAR NONE OF THOSE THINGS WHICH THOU SHALT SUFFER: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: BE thou FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH, and I will give thee a CROWN OF LIFE. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh SHALL NOT BE HURT of the second death. 2:10-11. And he that overcometh, AND KEEPETH MY WORKS unto the end, to him will I GIVE POWER OVER THE NATIONS: 2:26. He that overcometh, the same shall be CLOTHED IN WHITE RAIMENT; AND I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I WILL CONFESS HIS NAME before my Father, and before his angels. 3:5. To him that overcometh will I grant to SIT WITH ME IN MY THRONE, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. 3:21. HE that overcometh SHALL INHERIT ALL THINGS; AND I WILL BE HIS GOD, AND HE SHALL BE MY SON. 21:7. To overcome is to FINISH the race. To come VICTORIOUSLY through your Trials, Troubles, Testings and Tribulations and to gladly receive Chastenings, Chastisements, and Corrections, ALL FROM THE HAND OF GOD HIMSELF. It takes an Act of God to take you from the sewer unto Holiness, Righteousness, Purity, and Patience. Overcome, and hear those Most Precious Words, "Well done thou good and faithful servant, enter thou into the Joy of the Lord". ALL of Christ's sheep WILL Overcome, all of Christ's sheep will walk through death, and all of Christ's sheep will, Be Blessed.
Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I AM THE DOOR of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I AM THE DOOR: by me if any man enter in, HE SHALL BE SAVED, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. John 10:7-9. (Shepherds) Feed the flock of God which is among you, (among the congregation), TAKING THE OVERSIGHT, (the responsibility), thereof, not by constraint, but WILLINGLY; not for filthy lucre, but OF A READY MIND; (hear what the Lord is telling you and convey it on to the sheep). 1 Peter 5:2 BE SOBER, BE VIGILANT; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, (sometimes as a wolf in the congregation), walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. (Satan goes after all he can, saved and unsaved alike). 1 Peter 5:8,9 Confirming (and encouraging), the souls of the disciples, (the sheep in your congregation), and exhorting them to CONTINUE IN THE FAITH, and that we (all) must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. Acts 14:22 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that TRIBULATION WORKETH PATIENCE; Romans 5:3. Believers, Followers of Christ, (the sheep), keep your Hearts and minds stayed on Christ, AND NO LIAR, GOD-HATER, OR WOLF WILL BE ABLE TO TAKE YOU DOWN. Yes, there are many warnings in the Bible, read and understand then, AND KEEP YOUR FOCUS ON CHRIST, and by the Power of the Holy Spirit, you will be kept Safe and Sound in, through, and with, Christ. The sheep know the Shepherd, and the Shepherd knows His sheep. Do you need more Encouragement than this? THE BIBLE IS FULL OF IT, so read and study, ask the Holy Spirit to give you Knowledge, Wisdom, and Understanding of ALL the Things He has for you to Grow you in Christ and CHRISTLIKENESS. Even if a wolf causes you great tribulation, GROW IN IT, and, Be Blessed.
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I AM COME THAT THEY might HAVE LIFE, AND that they might have it MORE ABUNDANTLY. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. John 10:7-12. A wolf is someone inside the church, inside a body of Believers who tries to look like, act like, and talk like, a Believer. On the surface, he looks good, sounds good, and generally "is good" in the eyes of the general populace of the body of Believers. A few will Discern the wolf's real motives and will purposely watch him. And the Pastor will deal with him as directed. A wolf works from the inside out, sneaking into an existing "Fellowship of Believers" to destroy, disband, and dilute the Faithful all he can. He publicly "talks the talk", but behind the scenes, he will trash the Pastor every way he can. BUT WHAT IF THE "pASTOR" IS A WOLF? Same thing, he will preach useless watered down "gospel" messages to appease his sheep as he "fleeces" them for all he can get. Just look at all the Dead Denominations laying around preaching heresy. No matter how you slice it, Satan is alive and well on planet earth doing all he can to "destroy" The Church. Again, NO MATTER WHAT, CHRIST WILL LOSE NOT EVEN ONE OF HIS SHEEP. He will find and save all who are His. Judas Iscariot was never a True follower of Christ, Saul of Tarsus was. Don't look on outside appearances. Seek Christ, Discern Wisely, Preach, Teach, and Talk to everyone, Obey the Holy Spirit, and, Be Blessed.
The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: THEM ALSO I MUST BRING, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. John 10:11-16. Let's be clear about the power of the wolf. He works for Satan, AND SATAN IS DEFEATED. Therefor, the wolf is not to be feared. Oh yes, he tries, and may even get away with, sowing discord, lies, rumors, and even doubt, about one's walk with Christ. The wolf may very well Terrorize the sheep, especially if he's dealing with an hiring. Even if a wolf "kills" a sheep, THEY ARE STILL A SHEEP. For whatever reason, if a wolf catches a sheep and starts gnawing on a "leg of lamb", he's still a sheep and still part of the fold. Christ will NOT LOOSE ANY OF HIS, even if that sheep physically dies, he still belongs to Christ. A wolf can potentially destroy a physical gathering of Believers and that specific gathering of Believers may be scattered to the four winds. But they still belong to Christ and will ultimately go "home" to be with Him. Wolves KNOW THE TRUTH, they just don't care about it. They are Satan's "hands and feet", and will try to destroy all they can. A Shepherd DOES NOT fear the wolf but will deal with the wolf any and every way the Lord directs him to. The hireling DOES NOT know his authority in Christ OVER the wolf because he doesn't know OR BELIEVE the Lord. Yes, mature sheep can discern a wolf in the flock, but it is up to the Shepherd to deal with it. Pray for your shepherd, and, Be Blessed.
John 10:11- 16. So what's going on here? First off, Christ is the Good Shepherd and He will lose NONE of His sheep. And ALL sheep are His. So no matter what's going on, a sheep is a sheep and NONE will be taken out of the flock AND LOST. That's the bottom line, None Lost. The Shepherd, (the Preacher) of a church, knows its his job and responsibility to fully and totally take care of the sheep. AND HE WILL. This includes being in wolf patrol, discerning any wolves, even in "sheep's clothing", trying to sneak into his flock. AND HE'LL DEAL WITH THEM, as the Lord directs him to. Shepherds are good, and will keep the sheep. On the other hand, ANY PASTOR WHO WON'T LOOK OUT FOR THE SAFETY OF HIS FLOCK, THE CARE FOR THE LITTLE ONES AND THE SENIOR ONES, ALL SHEEP, IS JUST AN HIRELING. HE'S IN IT FOR THE MONEY AND SOME SORT OF PRESTIGE. An hireling will fleece the flock to accomplish his goals, and he'll use the Bible to do so. Don't be fooled by "really good" occasional preaching. Remember, the Lord Honors His Word, even if spoken by a donkey. Pray for your preacher and Honor his position. If he's a true Shepherd, he'll look out for you. But if he's an hireling, you look out for you, and keep an eye on him. He'll probably let you down when you really need him. Either way, pray for him, and you, Be Blessed.
