MORNINGTIME 2420

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended (crossed the Finish Line): but this one thing I do (know), FORGETTING THOSE THINGS WHICH ARE BEHIND, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14. The Apostle Paul is telling us he's running the Race, looking towards the finish line, and not looking or thinking about the past problems he's encountered along the way. Everything he's had to deal with in his life and walk with Christ is all chalked up to learning, training, and understanding that have all been a part of his growth in the Lord. But they ARE all in the past and together have helped get him to where he is today. He's not ignoring the past, he's just put it all behind him as he runs the race with his mind fully focused on crossing the Finish Line for the Glory of Christ. When you're building a house, every rock, block, board, and timber is carefully and solidly put in its place with the utmost attention and care to get it right and to deal with each problem as it comes up. But on the day you move in, all that, is left in the past as you sit down and watch a beautiful sunset in your new house. Learn from the past, it has a rich history. Learn from your mistakes, and even better, learn from others mistakes so that you don't have to make them too. It's all part of how you Grow in the Lord, in the Things of Christ,  BUT CHRIST IS THE GOAL as you move closer to Him, day by day. Don't dwell on the mistakes, trials, troubles, and tribulations of the past, learn from them, be forgiven of past wrongs, AND KEEP MOVING FORWARD to the Prize of crossing the Finnish Line to heart those wonderful words,  "Well done, good and faithful servant:....  enter thou into the joy of thy lord". Matthew 25:23. The Prize is Christ, and to be with Him for the rest of Eternity, having learned His Voice, grown in  Faith and Obedience, all so that you may, Be Blessed.
