And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is , God: but if thou wilt enter into life, KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS. Matthew 19:17. Good and bad are words that compare something to another something. God is good, man (in comparison) is not. God is huge, man is tiny. God is just, man is corrupt. Man has standards as to what he thinks are good and bad when compared to something. We can talk all day about comparing this to that, based on the Standard we have set up about whatever it is we're talking about. To "christianize " this concept, we write silly songs about how God is bigger, greater, faster, and more loving than, whatever, but that really doesn't work. To compare God to anything is to try to bring Him down to a level we want. And that can't be done. God doesn't compare to anything because there is nothing to compare Him to. On a practical note, God is not "bigger" than my problems, He is the Problem Solver, no comparison. He doesn't do things "better", He does them Perfectly. He doesn't speak "louder" than the noise around me, He speaks Perfectly as a Still Small Voice into my very soul. I'm really not trying to split hairs with words, I'm just looking for Ways to Lift Up, Edify, Extol, Magnify, Praise, and Glorify THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY MORE AS HE SHOULD BE, than carelessly using words I'm not paying any attention to just to fill time and space. Yes, we do tell others God is bigger and greater than, but we should always keep in mind that above all else, HE IS LORD GOD ALMIGHTY AND IN HIM, THERE IS NOTHING ELSE. In your prayer closet, do your words compare God to other things, or do they lift up the Lord to where nothing else exists, just you and the Lord having a Sweet Time of Fellowship? So much so that words fail and can't convey what you really want to say to the Lord? That is the true meaning of "speechless", when words fail and only the Groaning Of The Spirit in you shows you will, Be Blessed.
