Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the (physical) body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say , and willing rather to be absent from the (physical) body, and to be present with the Lord. Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 2 Corinthians 5:6-10. This is an example of "Love" in the 1st degree. This man is saying that He would like to be Home with Christ up in Heaven, but because there are still people who haven't yet come to Christ, he is willing to stay here and work the fields, which are white unto harvest. His motive? He came from wretched, worldly sin and found Christ, the Giver of Light and Life. He wants to stay to help others find that same Giver of Light and Life, that when they do meet Christ on Judgment Day, they too will be found worthy of being called "Christian", and will hear this most Wonderful Words, "Well Done thou Faithful Servant, enter in to the Joy of thy Lord". This is True Christian Love for his fellow man, wanting to stay here on this earth to bring Salvation to all he can before the Lord calls him Home. He is assured of his own place in Christ, and he wants others to have that same assurance, before they leave this earth, that they too will be found in Christ. An illustration. A ship is sinking and a man is helping everyone he can into the Lifeboats, and he too jumps in safely at the last moment. Christian, are you willing to stay here to the very last minute to "Save" all you can, working in adverse conditions, even under threat of persecution and prosecution, even possible death, just to save even one more? If so, that's True Godly Love in the 1st degree. You WILL be found Faithful and all those you "Saved" will, Be Blessed.
