The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: FEED THE FLOCK of God which is among you, TAKING THE OVERSIGHT thereof, not by constraint, but WILLINGLY; not for filthy lucre, but OF A READY MIND; Neither as being lords over God's heritage, BUT BEING EXAMPLES TO THE FLOCK. 1 Peter 5:1-3. Elders, Deacons, Preachers, and Teachers, are all pretty much interchangeable in their responsibilities to the flock. The Office Of, may be different, as a Deacon is NOT the Preacher, and the like, but ALL are responsible to be GOoD Examples TO the flock in how to Study the Word, Tithe, respect your elders, (the senior crowd), and how to show, share, and live in CHRISTLIKENESS to a dead and dying world. If your "brother" is thirsty, give him a drink of water. He may be an enemy, a friend, a sinner, or a Believer, either way, you can give him a glass of cold water, AND a glass of Fresh Living Water, at the same time. Christians WILL, I repeat, WILL, live together in harmony WITH each other, AND they will live a life of Peace with a sinful world, as much as is possible. EVERYBODY can visit the sick and shut-in, saved and sinner alike. Who out there DOESN'T need Encouraging? Who out there doesn't need Christ, or more of Christ? If you're Saved, you are now qualified to Share Christ with EVERYONE, absolutely everyone you see, talk to, or live with. The only thing stopping you is, you. So whoever you are, ask Christ to make you equal to Christ IN BOLDNESS AND OBEDIENCE in talking to and with others. He will custom tune your words to be exactly what you and they need to hear at that moment, in both of your lives. EVERYONE in church has the equal responsibility to Live In and Share Christ FREELY. THERE SHOULD BE NO CHARGE TO SHARE CHRIST AS YOU GROW IN CHRIST AND CHRISTLIKENESS. Christ has already PAID IN FULL for your Everything. He's Free, Share Him Freely, and, Be Blessed.
