I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, SEETH THE WOLF COMING, AND LEAVETH THE SHEEP, AND FLEETH: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, AND CARETH NOT FOR THE SHEEP. I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. John 10:11- 16. So what's going on here? First off, Christ is the Good Shepherd and He will lose NONE of His sheep. And ALL sheep are His. So no matter what's going on, a sheep is a sheep and NONE will be taken out of the flock AND LOST. That's the bottom line, None Lost. The Shepherd, (the Preacher) of a church, knows its his job and responsibility to fully and totally take care of the sheep. AND HE WILL. This includes being in wolf patrol, discerning any wolves, even in "sheep's clothing", trying to sneak into his flock. AND HE'LL DEAL WITH THEM, as the Lord directs him to. Shepherds are good, and will keep the sheep. On the other hand, ANY PASTOR WHO WON'T LOOK OUT FOR THE SAFETY OF HIS FLOCK, THE CARE FOR THE LITTLE ONES AND THE SENIOR ONES, ALL SHEEP, IS JUST AN HIRELING. HE'S IN IT FOR THE MONEY AND SOME SORT OF PRESTIGE. An hireling will fleece the flock to accomplish his goals, and he'll use the Bible to do so. Don't be fooled by "really good" occasional preaching. Remember, the Lord Honors His Word, even if spoken by a donkey. Pray for your preacher and Honor his position. If he's a true Shepherd, he'll look out for you. But if he's an hireling, you look out for you, and keep an eye on him. He'll probably let you down when you really need him. Either way, pray for him, and you, Be Blessed.
