And thou, Capernaum, WHICH ART EXALTED UNTO HEAVEN, SHALT BE BROUGHT DOWN TO HELL: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. Matthew 11:23. Obviously the city of Capernaum isn't going to Heaven or Hell, but the actions of its people will determine their outcome. They were a reasonably blessed city, UNTIL CHRIST CAME TO TOWN. All Heaven broke loose, AND THE PEOPLE REJECTED IT!!! This goes from, "Oh, I didn't know God was around", to, "CHRIST WAS IN YOUR FACE, AND YOU REJECTED HIM". It's a sad day when someone sees, meets, or talks to Christ, TURNS AND WALKS AWAY thinking, "Naw, He's not worth it". "But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more". Luke 12:48. If the Lord sends Christ your way, "much is given", and you reject Him, that will be a serious Thing to answer to. Everyone WILL meet Christ here in this earth, and everyone WILL answer for it. Many excuses will be offered for why they didn't follow Him, many "Lord Lord" people will desperately grab for any possible reason /excuse as to why they ultimately rejected Him, but not one excuse will "hold water". Only those who Follow Christ, AND FINISH THE RACE, will hear those most precious words, "His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: ENTER THOU INTO THE JOY OF THY LORD". Matthew 25:21. It doesn't get any simpler than this. Whoever you are, you have already heard the "Call" of Christ on and in your life, the question is, what are you doing about it? "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation". Romans 10:10. Today is your day to come to Christ and His Salvation, and you WILL, Be Blessed.
