MORNINGTIME 2035

And it came to pass after these things, that Naboth the Jezreelite had a vineyard, which was in Jezreel, hard by the palace of Ahab king of Samaria. And Ahab spake unto Naboth, saying, Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house: and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it; or, if it seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money. And Naboth said to Ahab, THE LORD FORBID IT ME, THAT I SHOULD GIVE THE INHERITANCE OF MY FATHER'S UNTO THEE. 1 Kings 21:1-3. This is the flip side to the story of Jacob and Esau. Esau sold out his birthright inheritance for a bowl of soul. Today's story is about a good man, Naboth, being asked by the King to either outright sell, or trade, his inheritance for something of much lessor value. The King just wanted a piece of land closer to his front door, as if the King would actually be seen in the garden with dirty hands. "Fair money, or equal land swap, what could be wrong with that"? You must understand, the land is PRICELESS because it came from the Lord Himself straight to Naboth's family, way back when. NOBODY gets rid of the Family Inheritance in Jewish Families. Naboth knew he was in trouble as soon as the King finished asking his question because NOBODY ever said "NO" to the King, and expect to get away with it. The King asks and it's a done deal. Even if Naboth knew all the trickery coming his way, HE WAS A GOOD CHRISTIAN AND WOULD NOT SELL HIS FAMILIES BIRTHRIGHT, COME HELL OR HIGH WATER. He died Protecting his families land. No, he wasn't TRYING to protect it, HE DID PROTECT IT TO HIS LAST BREATH. The King is stealing a God Given Right that will NEVER belong to him. Later, King Ahab actually Repented, but Judgment did fall on his house and wife, (Jezebel), after he died. Here's my point. If the Lord makes you a Promise for you to hold on to, you have no right to sell it, and they have no right to take it from you. It's YOUR Promise, so, Be Blessed.
