MORNINGTIME 2075

Then shall he say also unto them (goats) on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: Matthew 25:41. We've got a problem in church today and nobody wants to talk about it. Here it is. Almost everyone in (4 walls grassy front yard) church claims to be saved. The problem comes in when Christ Himself says, "Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, AND FEW THERE BE THAT FIND IT". Matthew 7:14. It's easy to say, "We in church are the cream of the crop, the best the world has to offer, we're the Christians, out there are the heathen". Are you really willing to gamble your Eternity on this one hope? Or, can it be said, "We in church are a cross section of society in general and Jesus is right, there will be few of us that find that Narrow Way". We're making headway if we go with the second way of thinking. But if we want to hold on to the first way, "We're the good guys, we're all in with Christ", than the pastor has a really tough job on his hands. How can he convince the 80% that it may just be 10% finishing the race? (You write in your percentage, it WILL be less than 80%). AS AN ILLUSTRATION, let's say 70% aren't going to make it, WHAT KIND OF STAMPEDE WILL PEOPLE BE CLIMBING OVER EACH OTHER TO DECLARE, "TAKE ME, I'M MORE RIGHTEOUS THAN THEY ARE". Like rats on a sinking ship climbing on top of each other to get on top of the heap. (In all this mayhem, you'll find the real Christians over in the corner asking the Lord, "Lord, is it I who am lost? Examine me Lord, search my heart, and help me be Obedient to You"). That will quickly show who the real 10% are that Christ was talking about. But don't worry, most preachers won't touch this one with a 10 foot Gospel Stick because half his congregation would get up and leave. There goes the money. Here's your choice, preach fluff and your numbers go to Hell. Or, Preach the Gospel and your numbers go to Heaven, to, Be Blessed.
