MORNINGTIME 2083

And the younger of them said to his father, FATHER, GIVE ME THE PORTION OF GOODS THAT FALLETH TO ME. And he divided unto them his living. Luke 15:12. This is the story about the Prodigal Son wanting all he could get from his father, (And out from under the control of his Father), to use and spend as he saw fit. A nice way to say, "Thanks Dad, but I'm going to make better decisions about my stuff than you can". Many Christians today take God's Promises and Provisions and use them on themselves, never even asking God what He would have them to do. Yes, God will give you blessings so that YOU can see what YOU'LL do with them. Do you have a heart to take His Provisions for yourself, or do you have a heart to take His Provisions and RUN back to Him and ask Him, "Father , you have so greatly Blessed me with all these things, what would You have me to do with them? How may I use these things to bless You and Your people? I won't move until you show me Your Will with all this"? The only way for you to know how you will handle God's Abundance is to be given some, THEN you will actually see what you'll do. The Lord already knows what you'll do, but you have to find out for yourself by actually having the Opportunity to do something. This closes the door to, "Well God, how can you say I was greedy, I never had anything to be greedy over"? Keep in mind, "He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much". Luke 16:10. It won't take much for you to understand what your true heart attitude is. Don't be fooled, MANY in church today have been blessed with much, AND USED IT ALL UPON THEMSELVES, never once asking the Lord for His thoughts about their prosperity. Is your definition of “much" the same as the Lord's? Ask Him, His answer may surprise you, or convict you. Do you dare ask? Is His Stuff in your hands still His Stuff? If it is, you have been, and will, Be Blessed.
