MORNINGTIME 2106

WOE BE UNTO THE PASTORS THAT DESTROY AND SCATTER THE SHEEP OF MY PASTURE! saith the Lord. Therefore thus saith the Lord God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the Lord. And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase. And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the Lord. Jeremiah 23:1-4. It's test time for the Lord's Sheep to look at their Pastor and decide if he's being Biblically Correct and feeding the sheep, OR NOT. Any Pastor who reads all of Jeremiah chapter 23 can come up with one of 3 options. First, he can fall before the Lord after examining himself and ask forgiveness of the Lord for not properly taking care of the sheep. This shepherd understands he has short changed the people and wants to amend his ways to line up with the Lord's Ways. The 2nd way is the shepherd, actually, the hireling, who says in his heart, "I KNOW the Lord's not talking about me because we're growing in numbers of new converts and baptisms, and it's not my fault they're leaving out the back door as fast as they're coming in the front door". The 3rd type of Pastor is the one who is continually on his face before the Lord in prayer and intercession for his congregation, for both the lost AND the saved, both here, AND around the world. His Heart is always asking, "Lord, what must I do today to be about Your Business in Obedience to You"? Most preachers today are confident in what man has taught them and don't, or won't, recognize bad teaching. They don't see the "lostness" of their teachers as they teach the same stuff. They think, "All is well in my church", as they're heading for "a giant iceberg". Be Blessed?
