MORNINGTIME 2112

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. AND AT MIDNIGHT THERE WAS A CRY MADE, BEHOLD, THE BRIDEGROOM COMETH; GO YE OUT TO MEET HIM. Matthew 25:1-6. This is not another variation about the 10 virgins being ready, and sleeping on the job. This is about the serious importance about the job of the guy WHO CALLED OUT, "HE'S COMING", AND WOKE EVERYONE UP. Where would all 10 virgins be if this guy didn't do HIS job and keep Watch over them all while they slept? Ever been really comfy, sound asleep, great dreams, AND SOMEONE WAKES YOU UP? GGGRRRR. It's a thankless job to "wake" people up, but someone's got to do it. Has your church "assigned" you to be the Watchman on the wall, to warn when sneakiness is going on? Probably not, because generally most churches don't want to be roused out of their comfy stupor. Ignorance of ANY trouble, is Bliss. Who wants to hear, "This thing we want to do, it's not Biblical and we need to nip this in the bud". Preacher, Teacher, and Joe-Sheeper, can you name who is your Watchman on the Wall for your church? It SHOULD be the Preacher, but how many people would leave church if he said, "There's sin in the camp and we're going to rip it out by the roots"? And anyone under the Preacher even wanting to be a Watchman would be thrown out on his ear for not backing the Preacher, if he didn't have the Preachers backing. Let the church sleep, is much easier, as the Lord passes by and no one notices. Then, a god of their own making fills the void, and no one notices that one either. And they keep on believing, "We will, Be Blessed".
