Now Eli was very old, and heard all that his sons did unto all Israel; AND HOW THEY LAY WITH THE WOMEN THAT ASSEMBLED AT THE DOOR OF THE TABERNACLE OF THE CONGREGATION. And he said unto them, Why do ye such things? for I hear of your evil dealings by all this people. Nay, my sons; for it is no good report that I hear: ye make the Lord's people to transgress, (to not want to go to church to worship the Lord). 1 Samuel 2:22-24. Here's the story, and only to make a very strong point. Dad takes his wife and two teenaged daughters to church. On the way, almost to the church, the Priest's two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, take the two daughters around back and rape them. This "activity" happened so often, people didn't want to go to church. Eli, the Priest, only scolded his two sons one time, that's all. Here's my point. THE PEOPLE HAD NOWHERE TO TAKE THEIR COMPLAINT TO. The priest and his two sons were rotten to the core, and the people were required to go to church. From this story, focus ONLY on the frustration of, no one to talk to, no one will listen, ONLY. (The rest of this story DOES NOT apply here). What are Christians, (capital C) to do when you see SIN in the church, and no one above the congregation level of authority cares and will do nothing to call out sin in the midst? Remember this. You are now dealing with people who are either greatly deceived, OR WHO ARE ACTUALLY GOATS IN POSITIONS OF AUTHORITY. Or both. A deceived Christian can choose to come out of deception, IF HE WANTS TO. But a goat will never come to Christ and just may be sent by Satan to disrupt godly church activity. If the Holy Spirit isn't Convicting during church service, HE'S NOT THERE. And if He's not there, then men and goats WILL run rampant. Believers Rejoice, God is still on the Throne in your life, even if He's not on the Throne in your church. You keep Seeking Christ, and God will deal with undealt with sin His Way, in His Time. Look up, Christ is coming back soon, and, Be Blessed.
