MORNINGTIME 2154

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, THAT THE FATHER MAY BE GLORIFIED IN THE SON. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. IF YE LOVE ME, KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS . John 14:13-15. We are supposed to read the Scriptures in the context with which they were meant to be read. When we break that rule, man's theology goes out the window into foolishness. These verses prove that to a "T". The Word says, if you ask, He will do it. Man has taken that thought and made a whole "prosperity" gospel out of it. "Name it, and claim it" silly stuff, and NOT taken in context. Did you notice the other parts of these verses man has conveniently left out? THAT THE FATHER MAY BE GLORIFIED IN THE SON, and, IF YE LOVE ME, KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS. The part about, the Father may be Glorified, is easy. We can justify almost anything and everything we want to say and do just by saying it will bless the Lord. The hard part comes when we have to answer the question, Are we keeping His Commandments? So let's not talk about that part and sweep it under the carpet. This is an illustration of how easy it is to take the Scriptures out of context and make up our own new theology THAT WILL BE BELIEVED BY PEOPLE WHO DON'T KNOW THE GOSPEL and will take someone else's word for it. Just how bad can it get? The whole catholic church is built on 1 misinterpreted verse, "Upon the rock". Just look how far off the deep end that one went. They'll believe anything because they don't know anything. The more they know about the Bible, the harder it is to fool them. Man can interpret Scripture many ways, but Christ only wrote it One Way, His Way, The Way. STUDY THE WORD, and you won't fall for just any word, because you'll know The Word. Do you Love The Word? Keeping it in Context will prove it. Read and study all you can, you'll never regret it, and you will, Be Blessed.
