MORNINGTIME 2156

For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, AFTER THEY HAVE KNOWN IT, TO TURN FROM THE HOLY COMMANDMENT DELIVERED UNTO THEM. 2 Peter 2:20-21. How does this apply to Teachers and Preachers? They're people just like you and me who have willingly taken on a whole lot more responsibility to look after the sheep. And they will be held to a higher standard on Judgment Day. So can a Teacher, or Preacher who had been called to minister to the sheep ever fall away, or even fall away and be lost? The answer is yes, God is no respecter of persons and all will be held accountable unto the Lord. What would this look like? Only the Lord Knows one’s heart so we'll just say he's a man in the pulpit who maybe, or maybe not, KNOWS the Lord. He starts off great looking and quotes lots of Bible verses. He seems to know what he's talking about. But over the years, his preaching seems to be drying up, church discipline never really got started, to say to people we, (any church) are a praying people, pretty much in name only, and when the sheep call out because they're hurting and their cries seem to fall on deaf ears, does all this amount to a church in decline? Or just a pastor losing his Love for Christ and HIS sheep? If preaching about Holiness, Righteousness, and Purity are at the bottom of the to-do list, how will the sheep know what these things look like in real life? If there's sin in the camp, and it's purposefully not dealt with, then what happens? Is there a Watchman on the wall? This "church" attitude is going on all across America. It's called The Great Apostasy. Is this your church? If you check, or ask questions, will you, Be Blessed?
