MORNINGTIME 2157

For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, THE LATTER END IS WORSE WITH THEM THAN THE BEGINNING. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 2 Peter 2:20-21. Preachers that start off knowing the Word and preaching the Word, and slowly grow cold to the Word, are falling into apostasy. Keep in mind, saved or unsaved, a preacher CAN preach the Word whether he believes it or not. His faith has no effect on the results of the Preached Word, that is purely in the Hands of the Holy Spirit. Anyway, back to the preacher. If he falls back into worldliness and losses his first love, it will go worse for him than if he never knew the Lord to start with. If one never knew the Lord, he's going to Hell. If one never knew the Lord, then "gets saved" and falls back into the world, he too dies and goes to Hell. (Remember the Lord Lord people)? Hell is a place of Great Suffering. Will anyone there notice they are suffering 20% more than someone else? I doubt it. So where does the "WORSE WITH THEM" part come in? HERE IN THIS LIFE, ON THIS EARTH, HERE AND NOW. A preacher is riding high on Christian TV and the Lord says, "Enough, that preacher is going down". The preacher losses EVERYTHING, is greatly humiliated, and lives the rest of his life on this earth with nothing but memories and great humiliation of "the good life" he lost forever. To lose everything, and never recover, is almost a type of Hell on earth. And to know the Great Judgment won't get any better, that's a tough one to live out. This is definitely not the way you would want to, Be Blessed.
