MORNINGTIME 2165

IF WE confess our sins, HE IS faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9. The Holy Spirit is the only One who can minister to a dead man, and bring forth Life. My praying for Salvation for a friend for years is a Spiritual matter between the Lord and I. My trying to do nice things for years for someone I want to see come to the Lord, is nice, but that brings absolutely nothing of any Spiritual value to that friend TOWARDS SALVATION. Physical things minister to physical things. It's nice and comforting to think my "physical" ministering might play a role in their "Spiritual growth, but it doesn't, it can't, and it won't. Think about it, if they can be swayed towards the Lord by a little sandwich, THEY CAN BE SWAYED AWAY FROM THE LORD BY A BIG SUB SANDWICH. Size matters in the physical realm. No one has ever gotten saved because I made them a sandwich. Maybe they enjoyed eating my sandwich while the Holy Spirit was convicting them of their sins, BUT MY SANDWICH HAS NO POWER TO CONVICT ANYONE OF ANYTHING. It's that Convicting Power of the Holy Spirit that causes one to confess his sins and to receive God's Forgiveness unto Salvation. Confessing our sins before the Lord in Humility is what cleanses us from unrighteousness, not the sandwich we had just before a meeting. Here's my point. The Lord may use my years of physical kindnesses towards someone and even tell them,  "This is what Christians do", but ONLY when that someone SEES HIS SINS AGAINST A HOLY GOD AND THE FORGIVING POWER OF CHRIST, will that someone ask for Forgiveness, confess his sins, receive a new Heart, and be Saved. Christ was Kind to everyone, but not everyone was Saved. Only His Holy Spirit could Save. The 5,000 plus were fed and no one was saved. Christ Spoke, Conviction came, and people were Saved. The act of feeding, (kindness), saves no one. Conviction, Repentance, and Cleansing saves all. Repent, Confess, Be Saved, and, Be Blessed.
