MORNINGTIME 2177

He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet HE OPENED NOT HIS MOUTH: he is brought AS A LAMB TO THE SLAUGHTER, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. Isaiah 53:7. This is talking about Christ going to die on The Cross. Christ is our Example of, among many other things, how to Live Life, and even how to die. When He goes as a sheep to the slaughter, we can expect to be treated no better. You may die of old age in your sleep, that's fine, but if Christ taps you on the shoulder and asks, "Are you ready to Preach for half an hour, and then be killed for My Name? ", are you ready to stand at attention and say, "Yes Sir, whatever you ask of me I will gladly do"???  The question here is, are you willing to die for Christ? (You just may get the opportunity to). Now, let's get down to real life where most of us live here in America. If you're willing to forgive your killers, are you willing to forgive that guy who ran you off the road yesterday? To forgive that government agency that slapped you with a big monetary fine for something you didn't do? Or to forgive that guy who cussed you out and called your wife and daughter some really nasty names? How 'bout the school bully who beat up on your kid and sent him home with a bloody nose, and the teacher did nothing about it because the bully is the son of some important guy in town? Are you getting the picture? IF YOU'RE NOT WILLING TO FORGIVE IN THE LITTLE THINGS, YOU'LL NOT FORGIVE IN THE BIG THINGS. To think otherwise is pride and arrogance, "I'll die for you Jesus, but I'll not die to self".  If you can't Love the lowest of the low and forgive them, you can't love "the Highest of The High" and be forgiven by Him. Our Love for others starts at the very bottom, and works its way up to the Top.  It covers everybody, or it covers nobody. There's no "partial coverage" on this one. It's all, or nothing. Be all to Christ as He is all to you, and Be Blessed.
