MORNINGTIME 2196

Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree. Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.  WHEN THEY HEARD THAT, THEY WERE CUT TO THE HEART, and took counsel to slay them. Acts 5:29-33.  This is where the rubber meets the road. I do not understand the ways of the Lord when it comes to issues of the heart and Salvation. No one knows what's going on inside a person's heart, but the Lord. But this I do understand. Every single man, woman, and child has enough information IN them about God that they CAN call out to Christ for Salvation. However this works, Roman's says NO  ONE will have an excuse for missing the offer of Salvation. No one. So when one hears the Gospel for the first time, or the hundredth time, they have only one of two options. They will either cry out in Repentance because they have seen their sins against The Lord, or, they will turn a cold heart away from the Lord and not hear. And that can range from, "I'm not listening to this stuff", to, "I HATE WHAT THEY'RE SAYING, KILL THEM". As in the verses above, "Now when the high priest and the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these things..." Acts 5:24. These guys are THE church officials, the guys who teach the people about the Lord. Their reaction to The Gospel, was to kill all who bring Good News to the people. Nothing's changed today. Religious people still want to kill the Christians. And most others want them shut up. Fewer and fewer want to hear The Gospel. WE HAVE TO TAKE IT TO THEM ANYWAY, WHEREVER THEY ARE AMONG THE GOATS. If we will do that we WILL bring in the Harvest. And we will ALL (Believers), Be Blessed
