Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he , and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; FOR I DO ALWAYS THOSE THINGS THAT PLEASE HIM. As he spake these words, MANY BELIEVED ON HIM. Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, IF YE CONTINUE IN MY WORD, THEN ARE YE MY DISCIPLES INDEED; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:28-32. Very simply, Jesus preached the Gospel, The Good News, and many believed on Him. Just like it's still being done today. The Gospel is preached, people go up front to get saved, and the preacher tells everyone to welcome our new brothers and sisters in Christ who have given their heart to the Lord and are now Christians. BALONEY, THERE IS NO TRUTH TO THAT STATEMENT, IT COMES FROM THE PIT OF HELL. I'll explain. This is only half the Truth and if you don't finish it with all Truth, you have a gospel that includes a lie, AND YOU HAVE NO GOSPEL. Did you notice the second half of the Truth Jesus was preaching? Be said, "IF YE CONTINUE IN MY WORD, THEN ARE YE MY DISCIPLES INDEED". To continue is to keep going with no stopping. If you stop running a race in the middle of the race, YOU STOPPED, YOU DIDN'T FINISH. If you stop continuing with Christ, (don't fall into legalism here), you are not His Disciples. It's a lifelong endeavor to Follow Christ. And it's worth every drop of His Precious Blood. You must finish the race, STILL IN CHRIST. If you don't finish, you never were one of His. Satan doesn't care how many times you go up front to get saved, he just won't tell you you have to CONTINUE with Christ. That part gets left out all across America, and Satan loves it. He knows that without "continuing" you're his and still on your way to Hell. Can you see how dangerous a "partial gospel" can be? IT WILL KILL YOU, and you won't, Be Blessed.
