MORNINGTIME 2202

Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, IF THOU CONTINUE IN HIS GOODNESS: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. Romans 11:22. The severity of God is towards those who don't know the Christ as their Lord and Saviour. That was all of us from the very start of our lives. We were born in sin, lived and played in sin, and will die in our sins if we die without Christ. That is the severity of God on them which fell. The Goodness of God goes to them who found Christ as their Lord and Saviour, AND CONTINUED IN THEIR DAILY OBEDIENCE TO CHRIST AS THEIR LORD AND SAVIOUR. And the last of that verse is a warning, that if you choose to no longer, daily, or anytime, follow and obey Christ as your Lord and Saviour, you too will be cut off from the Goodness of God and you will fall back into your old worldly ways, and finally, Die in  your Sins. Only by your Obedience to the Holy Spirit in your Walk with Christ even daily, can you walk in the Goodness of the Lord. Let's be careful here, everyone has a bad day now and then, and that's not the problem. It's a heart attitude that changes from Christ as Lord and Saviour, to the again, lifting up of self, flesh, and the old man nature as Lord and Saviour. Purposefully allowing yourself to cool down to Christ, turning your back on Him, and walking away. This pretty well kicks in the face the old theology of "once saved, always saved" that is until you have an understanding of God's definition of "Saved". If you don't have an understanding of Christ and His Offer of His Salvation, you're still lost, no matter how many times you went up front to "get saved". The Lord gives clear warning throughout the Bible to the unsaved, to the Saved, and to those who aren't saved but think they are. There will be no excuse on Judgment Day when we stand before the Lord as He asks the question, "What did you do with My Son, Jesus the Christ"? Answer correctly and, Be Blessed.
