MORNINGTIME 2206

But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would (listen to) none of my reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. THEN SHALL THEY CALL UPON ME, BUT I WILL NOT ANSWER; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord: Proverbs 1:25-29. Let's clarify a few things here. The Lord is not and will not turn His back on His sheep. They are the Followers of Christ, The Beloved, the Obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Tribulation works Patience into His People as they grow in Christ and CHRISTLIKENESS. So the Lord is always looking out with His Best for His sheep. This includes the sheep in the fold, and the lost sheep whom Christ is going after to bring into Salvation. All lost sheep WILL BE FOUND by Christ. They are His and He will lose NONE of His. So just who is the Lord turning His back to when they seek Him early? THE GOATS. They didn't listen to Him before and they won't listen to Him now. They're just giving lip service wanting God to bail them out of a bad situation, with NO intent of actually following Christ. For a goat to "call on the Lord" is a last ditch effort to get SOMETHING to work. They don't believe Him anyway so if it doesn't work this time, no loss, they really didn't think it would work anyway. Is God being harsh here? Not really, remember the wise and foolish virgins? The wise are ready and went in, the foolish called out to the Lord, AND HE REJECTED THEM. They weren't ready and lost out. We in the church today EXPECT God to give us His Grace and Mercy, "Because He is so Loving". We have made up our own god, AND HE DOESN'T COME FROM THE BIBLE. He gives us no trouble because we made him to be a God of no trouble.  REPENT, and turn from your wicked ways, that you may be saved, and, Be Blessed.
