The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord , saying, Stand in the gate of the Lord's house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the Lord, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the Lord. Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place. Trust ye not in lying words, saying, THE TEMPLE OF THE LORD, THE TEMPLE OF THE LORD, THE TEMPLE OF THE LORD, are these. Jeremiah 7:1-4. In today's language, the Lord is telling people to not trust in their denomination as a way of escaping His coming wrath for doing what they want to do while ignoring what they KNOW they should do. Here's how denominations work. People are hungry for more than the standard churchianity of the day, and they Seek the Lord. The Lord raises up a people hungry for His Word, His Will, and His Ways. Eventually, they get comfy in their usual rituals and traditions, the Lord Leaves, writing Ichabod over the front doors, and those once hungry people have no idea the Lord is no longer with them. The whole process starts all over again, until, like today, we have a trail of lost denominations, all believing they have the Lord and all the others are lost, with no clue that the Lord has left them too. ICHABOD is over all denominations front doors, and most people don't see it. And it, (Hungry people), is starting again. The Lord is saying, "Don't trust in your dead denominations, Trust In Me". THIS time, He's raising up a Samuel Army of no name preachers and teachers around the world, who will Teach Of, AND Follow Christ, ANYWHERE He Leads. The Bible is their Doctrine and Theology and everything else is cast aside. When questioned, they can answer BIBLICALLY, what and why they Believe what they Believe. Man's "traditions" are gone and Christ Rules and Reigns. Be careful, they are Growing in that direction, they're not there yet, but they're headed that way. Follow Christ, and, Be Blessed.
