MORNINGTIME 2226

But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. Romans 6:22. To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints. 1 Thessalonians 3:13. For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. 1 Thessalonians 4:7.  Follow peace with all men, and holiness, WITHOUT WHICH NO MAN SHALL SEE THE LORD: Hebrews 12:14. Let's back up and look at the bigger picture. Halloween is just a lightning rod that catches all the flack. The church is very divided on this subject and it isn't likely to change any time soon. The "church", (4 walls, grassy front yard), has lost its focus on the Lord and all His Attributes. He's good to use for our version of "salvation", but He's set aside when it comes to Real Biblical Doctrine. The church no longer fears the Lord and His Ways. We all pretty much do what we want in church because we no longer even compare our ways to the Lord's Ways, forget about directly asking Him what He wants AND waiting for an answer. Can you quickly give a good definition of "Holiness", "Righteousness", or "Purity"? Can you find the Lord's Definition of these attributes in His Word? And are these things something you want in your own personal life? If yes, if something is possibly even a little unholy, DO YOU STILL WANT TO PLAY AROUND EVEN THE EDGES OF IT? Or just trash the whole "unholy thing" and run for Holy as fast as you can? This is no longer about "What can I get away with"? But, "What can I get away FROM ME that's not pleasing to the Lord"? If there is ANYTHING unholy about Halloween, are you willing to trash ALL of it for the sake of being SURE the unholy is gone? Like I said, it's a lightning rod, is there ANYTHING ELSE in your life that is "somewhat" unholy? Are you willing to trash it to make more room for the Holy, to be Pleasing to the Lord, and, Be Blessed?
