But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:9-12. The Lord has given man a choice and man can freely choose which way he wants to go. In order to make choice a choice you have to have options. Usually a good option, and a bad option. Pick one. The BIG choice The Lord has given to man is to, (as we ALL start off as rotten sinners on our way to Hell), have a first Love and that is the Love of money. I'll illustrate. Just about everyone wants to win the lottery, big money will solve all our problems, or at least drown them out with worldly distractions. The Big First Love in America is the Love of money. The other Choice the Lord offers is Salvation through His Son, Jesus, the Christ. Until you See Christ, Love Christ, and Follow Christ as your New First Love, by default, you will always have the big love of money. My point is Faith this. God could have made man's first love ANYTHING. He made it Money. Now, as a Christian, how much love do YOU have for money? Could the Lord today, give you a new job for 1/2 the pay you now get, and you'd still be happy to trust Him with your Future? Or would that throw you into a tailspin because you're "not ready"? Think about it, you should ALWAYS BE READY, because you're always Living By, and money or not, you DO Trust the Lord every day. And whatever your day brings, whatever the Lord hands you, your Faith is Fully in Him, and you KNOW that you are, and will Forever, Be Blessed.
