MORNINGTIME 2255

FOR WE OURSELVES also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour TOWARD MAN APPEARED, Titus 3:3-4. These 2 little verses tell a big story, and they're easy to miss if you don't know what you're looking for. I'll explain. Here's the set up. You're a Christian, a Believer, a Follower of the Leading of the Holy Spirit and you go and do something you absolutely should NOT do. Call it overwhelming curiosity, rebellion, whatever, you go down a path you KNOW you shouldn't go down. You're seeing things you shouldn't and you say to yourself, "Just one more minute, and I'll stop", and minutes pass and you still don't stop. It's like Curiosity's got you, you know you shouldn't, but you do anyway. All of a sudden, the curiosity vanishes and the reality of what you're doing comes flooding in, riding on a wave of Conviction, and you can't get on your knees fast enough to ask for Forgiveness. It's actually the Perfect Love, Mercy, and Grace of Christ bringing such Conviction that you never want to do this thing again. It's not with His Thumb in your eye in Judgment, it's Him wrapping His Arms around you telling you He Loves You, PERIOD. Just that Love in itself is enough to NEVER want to mess up again. The Holy Spirit never says, "I told you so", instead it's, "Let's move on, learn from this, and never look back". The Love of Christ can Convict way deeper than if He came down with a hammer of, "I SAID DON'T DO THAT". Yes, there definitely is a place for The Hammer, I'm just relating to a way He sometimes works that is So Gentle, yet VERY EFFECTIVE.   It's a Mercy and Grace that drives home the "I Love You"  part of Christ you never want to cross again. Don't ever do wrong and hope the Lord will let you off the hook Scott free, He KNOWS the intentions of your Heart. Such Gentle Conviction, what a Humbling Way to, Be Blessed.
