NOT BY WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS which we have done, BUT ACCORDING TO HIS MERCY he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; THAT BEING JUSTIFIED BY HIS GRACE, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Titus 3:5-7. When a person comes to understand the strength of the Truth of these verses, it will change one's perspective on who's saved and who's not. I don't mean you can look at a person's heart and tell if they're saved, I'm looking at the big picture. For example, if a religion tell you you have to pray to Mother, and baby Jesus can help you, they're lost. "If I can just change my lifestyle then Jesus will hear my prayers", won't do it either. Even IN church when we say "the magic prayer" and the preacher says, "You're now a Christian", YOU'RE STILL LOST. Religions all require you to DO something, and that means you can help get yourself into heaven. Only Christ requires that you let HIM change you from the inside out. The first step is for YOU to understand just how wretched a sinner you really are. Only the Holy Spirit can do that, to see your own heart attitude against Christ. The next step is to call out to Christ to Save you BECAUSE YOU CAN DO NOTHING TO CONTRIBUTE TO YOUR OWN SALVATION. That HE ALONE will change your heart to be like His. And then move daily in that understanding in Obedience to the Leading of the Holy Spirit, who will change you daily to be more like Christ. Obedience to the Lord is all you can "do". It's a changing HEART ATTITUDE directed by the Lord, NOT a changing lifestyle directed by man and all his rules. Satan's biggest deception is to get you to try to help with your own salvation. When you get one "rule" right, he'll throw 4 more in just to discourage you enough TO QUIT. YOU CAN NEVER "DO" ENOUGH, CHRIST HAS ALREADY DONE IT ALL. Rest in Christ, He'll teach you how to Obey Him daily, so you can truly, Be Blessed
