MORNINGTIME 2257

And whosoever will be chief among you, LET HIM BE YOUR SERVANT: Matthew 20:27. But HE that is greatest among you SHALL BE YOUR SERVANT. Matthew 23:11. WHO THEN IS A FAITHFUL AND WISE SERVANT, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?   BLESSED IS THAT SERVANT, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Matthew 24:45-46. His lord said unto him, WELL DONE, GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. Matthew 25:23. And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, SHALL BE SERVANT OF ALL. Mark 10:44. A servant is to do whatever the Master desires. The servant's own interests and desires fall by the wayside as dead and the interests of his Master become his Everything. Nothing else matters BUT TO SERVE THE MASTER, no matter what the cost. The Master says to the servant, "Tomorrow you will die in my Service, because that is My Desire". And the servant answers, "Yes Master, tomorrow I will die for you and your cause". Oh, do you think this is a little over the top? A little controlling? A death sentence for the servant? YES IT IS, YOU GOTTA PROBLEM WITH THAT??? Jesus not only told us about the life of the servant, HE SHOWED US BY EXAMPLE HOW TO LIVE AND HOW TO DIE IN THE OFFICE OF SERVANT. This concept of being a servant, in America, doesn't sit well with American "christians". Most of us are used to being part time Masters, and part time servants. That's servant, when we like the job, and master when we balk at the Master and decide to do it OUR way. And dying isn't part of the deal. Being a Servant to Christ is a Full Time job, 24/7/365. Christ says it's time to die and you say...? You CANNOT serve 2 masters, self AND Christ. To Serve Christ IS a full time job, OR IT'S NO JOB AT ALL Face the facts, you WILL die someday. Will it be in His Service, or yours? Decide now, decide right, and, Be Blessed.
