MORNINGTIME 2262

And they took strong cities, and a fat land, and possessed houses FULL OF ALL GOODS, wells digged, vineyards, and oliveyards, and fruit trees in abundance: so they did eat, and were filled, and became fat, and delighted themselves in thy great goodness. Nevertheless they were disobedient, and rebelled against thee, and cast thy law behind their backs, and slew thy prophets which testified against them to turn them to thee, and they wrought great provocations. Therefore thou deliveredst them into the hand of their enemies, who vexed them: and in the time of their trouble, when they cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and according to thy manifold mercies thou gavest them saviours, who saved them out of the hand of their enemies. Nehemiah 9:25-27. Here's the set up. You've been running around the desert for 40 years drinking only water, eating the same thing every day,  and  watching friends and family die wondering if you're next. When Moses goes on the rampage, people die. And now the word comes down you're about to enter the Promised Land AND GET YOUR OWN FULLY FURNISHED HOUSE, NO STRINGS ATTACHED!!! (Now start reading verse 25). If this were you today and you could have any house in your town, ANY house, could you handle the blessing? For example, would you throw out the nudie magazines under the bed, turn off the xxx shows on the TV, stay off porno sites on the computer, not go speeding in the car, and not overeat in the kitchen after coming off a 40 year jaunt through the desert? OK, forget the desert, do you have enough discipline to NOT do these same things today? Are you in control of your blessings, or are they in control of you? "To whom much is given, much will be required", and if anyone in the world today has anything to fear in Judgment,  it's us Americans for misusing all the stuff we have, on ourselves, and not ministering GOD'S STUFF on those who (HE Says) need it.  Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it, and, Be Blessed?
