AND THE LORD MAGNIFIED SOLOMON EXCEEDINGLY in the sight of all Israel, and bestowed upon him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel. And all the princes, and the mighty men, and all the sons likewise of king David, SUBMITTED THEMSELVES UNTO SOLOMON THE KING. 1 Chronicles 29:25-24. As soon then as he, (Jesus), had said unto them, I am He, THEY WENT BACKWARD, AND FELL TO THE GROUND. John 18:6. These are small but mighty illustrations of the Power of the Lord in people's lives. This is Saved and unsaved alike. When the Lord shows up, long term or short term, things happen. In the Chronicles verses the Lord put the fear of God into people and they gave Respect and fear to King Solomon. He was a man Raised Up by the Lord with the Hand of the Lord on him so Powerfully that no one would mess with him. Here's my point, the Lord will raise up man in the sight of others, and take down man in the sight of others, anytime He wants. Believers never need to work for recognition from others, for any reason. They don't need to "hype" themselves, to "advertise" their ministry, to try to get a following. Glitz and glitter may impress shallow men, but the Presence of the Lord will change all men. In the verse by John, Jesus is in the Garden and the band of men sent by the Priests are asking for Jesus and His Answer back to them, IS PROCLAIMING WHO HE IS, AND EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW AT THE NAME OF JESUS. They fell backward at His Name. This too is the Work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of men. In these wicked days we no longer even tremble in church at the reading of His Word or the sound of His Name. "I make a decree, (said a king), That in every dominion of my kingdom MEN TREMBLE AND FEAR BEFORE THE GOD OF DANIEL: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end". Daniel 6:26. Tremble and Fear at His Name, and, Be Blessed.
