MORNINGTIME 2275

In the year that king Uzziah died I SAW ALSO THE LORD sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Then said I, WOE IS ME! FOR I AM UNDONE ; BECAUSE I AM A MAN OF UNCLEAN LIPS, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts. Isaiah 6:1, 5  While he (Peter) yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. And when the disciples heard it , THEY FELL ON THEIR FACE, AND WERE SORE AFRAID. And Jesus came and touched them, and said, ARISE, AND BE NOT AFRAID. Matthew 17:5-7. Do you know of even one friend who goes to church in fear and trembling, expecting to hear from the Lord, actually does hear from the Lord, and he can't wait to tell you all about it? And everything he tells you lines up with the Bible? Is the Christ of the Bible being taught in your church? Where EVERYTHING in the teaching lines up Biblically? It doesn't? OK, is the Teacher willing to throw out any attribute he teaches about Christ that aren't Biblical and replace it with one that is Biblical if you bring it to his attention? That's called Growing in Christ. We all have many errors we still believe because WE ALL came from Deadly Rotten Sin. The question is, when the Lord puts His Finger on an error you believe and says, "Let's talk about this", are you willing to change your way and believe His Way? That's Growing in Christ. If you can't, and won't, allow correction in your life, you're following a god of your own making because you believe you know everything about him and nothing needs changing. God doesn't change, WE NEED TO. If coming before your god doesn't bring fear and trembling, you have an easy,  and comfortable god to follow. No one who has ever met the God of the Bible will agree with you. Christ is Merciful, Gracious, AND HOLY, we are not, THAT'S FEARFUL. Fear, Revere, and, Be Blessed.
