MORNINGTIME 2285

And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, AND ABOUND, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. BUT HE THAT LACKETH THESE THINGS IS BLIND, AND CANNOT SEE AFAR OFF, AND HATH FORGOTTEN THAT HE WAS PURGED FROM HIS OLD SINS. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: 2 Peter 1:5-10. This is a perfect example of the farmer sowing seed into 4 different types of soil. This soil type is very good and very nutritious to the plant. He and his neighbor are both growing in Christ together and both are looking "very Christian", with only one difference that most onlookers miss. This man has not been careful to continuously till the soil around  himself, (the plant), and is allowing the weeds to grow up unhindered, enough to where the weeds choke out the Life giving nutrients and the plant starts to die. Unchecked, the plant WILL die and never produce fruit at all. Only those plants that continuously examine themselves for ANY AND ALL trouble will produce 30, 60, 90, even a 100 fold increase in fruit. In the Bible, who is a good example of this problem? Judas Iscariot walked and talked just like the other Disciples, with one problem. He never dealt with his secret Love of money, and that took him down. He never finished the race to mature into fruition and fell, quit the race, and killed himself. This is not about "once saved, always saved", Judas pretty well shows the Truth about that one. ONLY those who Finish The Race, will Hear those Glorious Words, "Well done thou good and faithful servant, enter into the Joy of thy Lord". And with THAT, we WILL, Be Blessed.
