MORNINGTIME 2296

And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James. THESE ALL CONTINUED WITH ONE ACCORD IN PRAYER AND SUPPLICATION, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren. Acts 1:13-14. And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, THEY WERE ALL WITH ONE ACCORD IN ONE PLACE. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. AND THEY WERE ALL FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Now when they, (the on-lookers) heard this , they were pricked in their heart, and  said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, REPENT, AND BE BAPTIZED every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:1-4, 37-38. This is about as simple as it gets in Obedience, Faith, and Results. They were ALL Obedient to Wait upon the Lord in Prayer and Supplication, to Watch as the Holy Spirit moved in, in Power, Mercy, and Grace, and to Watch as the Holy Spirit Himself brought in Salvation to all who were hungry for the Lord. Can you count on two hands all the Programs and Procedures these Early Christians used to entice the people to come forward, say the Magic Prayer, and be Pronounced "Saved"? I didn't think so. How complicated and foolish have we made things in church today, and with almost no results to show much of anything. WE  DON'T WANT THE CHURCH OF ACTS, HERE TODAY. We want it nice and easy, with no threat to our ease and comfort while sitting on our nicely padded pews. OK pew sitters, stay still, and Be Blessed?
