MORNINGTIME 2303

And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people; (for he was above all the people;) and when he opened it, all the people stood up: {as Wifey told the kids to stop fighting over the last donut}, And Ezra blessed the Lord, the great God,  {as Hubby excused himself to go get more paper towels to clean up the coffee his wife kicked over}. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with lifting up their hands: {as both Hubby and Wifey took all the kids to the restroom to wash off the donut chocolate} and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the Lord with their faces to the ground {as the kids kicked each other for making such a mess}. Nehemiah 8:5-6. Yes, this actually does go on in churches across America today. All this stuff, the coffee, donuts, and juice drinks, are being brought into the sanctuary WHILE THE PREACHER IS PREACHING!!! The root problem with all this is, NO ONE, INCLUDING THE PREACHER, HAS SEEN THE LORD. No one understands Holiness before the Lord. Those few who do "see the Lord" also see their own wretchedness, and can't get under the carpet deep enough. Church, before the preaching starts, is a social club time as the people are warned by the big clock on the screen that church starts in 2 minutes and 14 seconds. When the bell goes off they quickly change from social club to a holy people by raising their hands in holy reverence to the Lord, right on que, as someone kicks over the coffee, and on it goes. How can preachers get upset with coffee in the sanctuary when they have their own cup there too? They are the blind leading the blind as NO ONE has seen the Lord or understand Holiness. All this is OK because it's understood that this is what it takes to get the young people into church these days. And singing from the hymnals DEFINITELY won't get them in through the doors. It's a new day, a new age, as people need lots of glitz and glitter to even be enticed to just TRY church, even once. THIS is church? And you expect to Be Blessed???
