Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH. 2 Timothy 2:15. Today's MORNINGTIME is for a little fun digging up what I hope will be golden Nuggets, and not, "Thou shalt believe or thou goest to Hell". This is a small theological thought I found interesting. " ... I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. Revelation 21:9. The rest of Revelation chapter 21 is all about the Beautiful City of God with all the architectural facets of a Most Glorious City coming down out of Heaven. It's a Thing of absolute Beauty. This has been described as "The Bride of Christ". I have to disagree and I'll explain why. Solomon's Temple was the most beautiful building ever built by man, of all time, AND GOD DESTROYED IT, for His Reasons. I suggest to you that this city is like a full description of a Wedding Gown, as you would read in a newspaper about last weekend's wedding. "The Bride was dressed in..." and the description of the Wedding Gown would follow. Oh yes, the City, (the Gown), is a Thing of Beauty, the likes of which are hard to imagine. Now look at the end of the last verse, "And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: BUT THEY WHICH ARE WRITTEN IN THE LAMB'S BOOK OF LIFE. Revelation 21:27. That's us, The Believers, The Followers of Christ!!! "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish". Ephesians 5:25-27. This is the Bride of Christ, the Believers, not a building. (Through Christ), the Bride has made herself Pure.... The Bride is always greater than the Gown, and the Gown here looks Gorgeous. Be a part of the Bride, MORE than Gorgeous and, Be Blessed.
