MORNINGTIME 2347

There remaineth therefore A REST TO THE PEOPLE OF GOD. For he that is entered into his rest, HE ALSO HATH CEASED FROM HIS OWN WORKS, as God did from his. Hebrews 4:9-10. The Sabbath is a day, a place of rest. It is a time of not having to do anything except enjoy the Presence of the Lord. A time of getting together with other Believers. A time to think on, reflect in, and teach about the Things of the Lord. The Lord has set aside one day a week to do these things. The  other days we work to physically take care of our families. This is all the Legal aspect of the Sabbath Day. This is the Old Testament way and people had a hard time following that one. Today, under Christ, He is our Sabbath, He fulfilled all the Law and its requirements, He paid the Price the Law exacted and has now freed us to come out from under the Requirements of the Law, to now under the requirements of Christ. When you buy something, you pay the price, and it now becomes yours to do with as you decide. The Law of the Old Testament could only show the sins you are committing and the only way to be forgiven was to offer a hopefully clean and pure blood sacrifice. That's the best man could do. Jesus, The Christ, the Pure and Holy Son of God, came to earth to be THE Perfect Sacrifice, fully acceptable to His Father, TO PAY FOR ALL OUR SINS AND SET US FREE FROM THE BONDAGE'S OF THE LAW. We are now Blood Bought and Free in Christ. NOT to do as we see fit, BUT TO DO AS CHRIST ASKS US TO DO. He now gets to set His Own rules we must follow. THAT'S THE GOOD NEWS!!! All He asks is that we Love His Father, Love Him, and Love our neighbors. THAT'S IT. And because we can't even do those few things by our own strength, He'll help us to do so if we will Rest in Him AS HE LIVES IN US AND THROUGH US TO OTHERS AROUND US. Now, His Requests are easy and a little load to carry as we Obey His Rules one day at a time. It's actually easier to Follow Christ, than it is to not follow Him. So Follow Him, and, Be Blessed.
