MORNINGTIME 2358

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord : and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand. Psalm 37:23-24. This is Wonderful News for the Believer, to know that the Lord has His Hand on you at all times. BUT BE CAREFUL, this verse can encourage the Believer, AND it can encourage the sinner to keep sinning, I'll explain. The Christian knows the Lord has him in His Hand all the time, and if he stumbles into sin, the Lord will catch him and restore him quickly. But the "Faith Preachers", the prosperity gospel teachers believe that if you're walking with Christ, YOU WILL NEVER FALL because you ARE in the hand of the Lord. And if you DO fall, that's proof you're not a "True Believer" because God will never let anything "bad" happen to true believers. If you don't have good health and big wealth, it's obvious  you're not under His Hand of Protection. THIS IS A FALSE DOCTRINE OF FALSE TEACHERS. DON'T BE FOOLED. A Christian, OF HIS OWN LUSTS, may fall, but the Lord will catch him before much damage is done AND WILL USE THIS FALL AS A TEACHING MOMENT of how and why the Believer fell. The Believer will quickly eat crow, repent of his sins, and re-establish Fellowship with God, fully knowing what NOT to do again. This is a learning curve of what traps of the enemy NOT to fall for again. Notice the next part, that both God AND man are pleased that man IS walking in The Way of the Lord. To fall is human nature, and to Live in Christ is to have Him slowly destroy the human nature and replace it with the CHRIST-LIKE nature. Believers will learn from First Hand instruction from Someone Who has already "been there", AND learn from their own mistakes. Humility makes it easy to be Repentant, Forgiven, and moving on in Christ. It's good to learn from your mistakes, but it's even Better to learn from the Perfection of Christ. He got it Right, the first time. Be Encouraged, and, Be Blessed.
