MORNINGTIME 2365

For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, THOSE THAT WERE CLEAN ESCAPED FROM THEM WHO LIVE IN ERROR. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. FOR IF AFTER THEY HAVE ESCAPED THE POLLUTIONS OF THE WORLD THROUGH THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE LORD AND SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST, THEY ARE AGAIN ENTANGLED THEREIN, AND OVERCOME, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 2 Peter 2:18-21. This is a story about a man who came out of the world and its sin, went up front, said "the Prayer", signed the card, joined the church, AND AGAIN FELL BACK INTO SIN, to be lost again even more than before. This deals directly with the verse we all know and love from 1 Ecclesserominthians 7:11, "Once Saved always Saved". There have been church fights over this verse with splits so bad people have parted friendship to never speak to each other again. This "verse" had both Truth, AND a lie, in it. WATCH THE WORDING VERY CAREFULLY here. The first mistake is to believe that when a man walks the isle, goes up front, says "The Prayer", signs the card, and joins the church, AND IT IS IMMEDIATELY ANNOUNCED, "Welcome our new brother in the Lord", this is an error even the Pope can't do, which is to know who is, AND WHO ISN'T, SAVED. Saying the Prayer does NOT get you saved. Only by Following Christ and growing in CHRISTLIKENESS, can one show signs that MAYBE he's Saved. This is like announcing 10 seconds into a NASCAR race that the man in the lead is the winner. We all know that only the first man to actually CROSS THE FINISH LINE, WINS. Only after time, playing by the rules, and crossing the finish line, can a winner be declared. FINISH, and, Be Blessed.
