MORNINGTIME 2367

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, AND DOETH THEM, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; AND IT FELL NOT: FOR IT WAS FOUNDED UPON A ROCK. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, AND DOETH THEM NOT, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which BUILT HIS HOUSE UPON THE SAND: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: AND GREAT WAS THE FALL OF IT. Matthew 7:24-27. This will be the story of the fall of 2 men. Both of these men go to the same church, are raising up their families in the church, go to the same Sunday school class, serve on some church committees, and eat BBQ at church fellowship functions. Both are Deacons and respected by the congregation and the town's folks. Both profess Christ and have the appearance of being Christians. Everything about these 2 men is looking good in the Lord. Even their families do family stuff together. On the same day, the first man gets word his whole family was killed in a car wreck by a drunk driver, and the drunk driver survived the car wreck. The second man, coming home from a short business trip, is told his whole family died overnight in a house fire. Both men fall before the Lord. The first man listened and studied The Word daily, he knew Christ and Christ knew him. The second man did not study The Word, did not know Christ and Christ did not know him. The first man cried out, "Lord, You know all things, it's You I Trust to take care of my family and Your Ways are far above my ways. Even in my time of sorrow and pain I will still Worship, Praise, and Honor You for You Know Best. Lord be Merciful to the drunk driver, save him Lord, I ask in Jesus Holy Name". The second man fell down and cried out, "Lord, you took away my family from me and I'll never trust you ever again". Only the first man will, Be Blessed.
