MORNINGTIME 2376

For (Christ) shall grow up as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. HE IS DESPISED AND REJECTED of men; A MAN OF SORROWS, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; HE WAS DESPISED, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, SMITTEN OF GOD, AND AFFLICTED. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:2-5. I (Christ) gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting. Isaiah 50:6. As many were astonied at thee; his visage, (the face, usually with reference to shape, features, expression, etc. countenance), was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men: Isaiah 52:14. All this is telling us that Christ was beaten, disfigured, and tortured more that any man, ever. The Romans knew how to kill in the most brutal ways possible, and they gave no mercy to Christ. He suffered in life, and death, more than any man, ever. AND HE IS OUR EXAMPLE. If a Christian is tortured and killed by the worst of man's abilities, it still won't be as bad as what they did to Christ. (And this still doesn't even start to cover the Load of Sin the Father dumped on The Son). Here's my point, until we suffer equal to, or  greater than Christ, WE HAVE NOTHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT. He showed The Way and said, "Now Follow Me". To want to run home to daddy because of a short (7 year) Tribulation, "it ain't gonna happen". Christ never ran  from a fight, He showed us how To Stand, and be Victorious. HE DIED IN VICTORY, AND SO SHALL WE. Don't fall for the "Baptist Rapture" theology, Stand and Fight for Lost Souls until your last breath, bring'em Home Victoriously, and, Be Blessed.
