MORNINGTIME 2384

For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD . Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; Acts 17:23-25. I want to illustrate THE CONCEPT of Who God Is, and at the same time, I don't want anyone to doubt THEIR understanding of God. Here goes. Some people are underground exploring in a cave. They have flashlights and discover a small green plant and it looks to be very healthy. To understand better, they all turn off their lights and discover there is a small hole in the rocks of the cave and a 3 inch narrow beam of light comes into the cave and little plant is living and growing in the middle of that light. That light is Life Giving and as the "cavers" turn their faces (one at a time), they can see the bright spot of light and feel the warmth as the light comes thru the tiny hole in the cave. They can see, feel, and know that the Light is Good, and Life Giving. This is True Understanding of "Light" and this is good. (Our Faith in God is Good). In this story, they still don't understand how big, how far, or how hot the sun, the Source of the light, really is. It will take great scientific exploration to gain even a little more Knowledge of the Sun. We KNOW God is Good, like the light in the cave, and our greatest Godly Teachers can share their wealth of information about a deeper Walk with God, but that's still like studying the Sun from 93 million miles away. We can only have Perfect Understanding when we can travel INTO the sun and be surrounded by it. That's impossible for us to do so we'll settle for "93 million mile understanding". Only by being Face to face with God  can we fully KNOW Him. Keep on Studying, and, Be Blessed.
