MORNINGTIME 2404

Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. (this is the first half). If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: (this is the second half). 2 John 1:9-10. These 2 verses are side by side yet they tell 2 totally different stories as they complement each other. The first half is telling us that most people out there don't have Christ as their Lord and Saviour. Of those few who do have Christ, they will have the Father also, like double or nothing. Again, the first half is describing the difference between the Believers, and the non-believers. We go out into the world and all sorts of people visit us, both saved and sinner alike. By talking with people we can encourage the Believers, and pray for the unbelievers. Without some sort of interaction we become hermits and don't see anybody. The second verse is a warning about people wanting to come into your house and preach a "christ" not of the Bible to you. Some you already know, for example the pair on their bicycles or the two dressed in black pants and white shirts. You already know their stories and they preach a christ not of the Bible. Them you leave outside your front door. They are deceived and don't want "your truth". Here's the hard part, if they do initially look like your Brothers in Christ and want Fellowship, but discernment quickly shows them to be of a different christ, quickly invite them to leave back out the front door. Their "christ" is not the Christ of the Bible and they are there to take your Faith down. And if possible, take down the Faith of your wife and kids too. No matter how innocent they look, Satan's purpose is to DESTROY YOUR FAITH . Don't argue with them IN YOUR HOUSE, or outside your front door, deception is deception and have no part of it. Instead, Pray for them, that you may, Be Blessed.
