MORNINGTIME 2421

BUT MY GOD SHALL SUPPLY ALL YOUR NEED(S) according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. This is such a simple little verse that can only be lived out through a Solid Faith in Jesus Christ. Man is geared to do, to provide the things he needs for himself. All men are self-centered, meaning centered on the only one imports thing in their life, and that thing is Self. To take care of one's Self, one's physical body called the Flesh, and the inbred of putting self-first above anyone and everyone else. That's called "the old man nature". It's all to preserve one's Being at the expense of all others around him. This comes as naturally to man as water to a fish. But when Christ comes and says, "Trust Me, I'll take care of ALL your needs", that flies straight in the face of our reality. And  this is where the battle starts. Only through Faith in Christ, an unnatural Faith that is willing to trust Someone Else to take complete care of us, can we open ourselves up to the Provisions and Promises of Christ. Christ says "Test Me, Prove Me, that I can and I will do that which I say I will do for you". This once unnatural faith soon becomes the normal, natural Faith that we live by, day by day. As this Faith in Christ grows, our old faith of trusting in ourselves to meet our own needs starts to fall by the wayside in a dead heap, soon to be kicked aside and forgotten. Some people who "get saved" jump in with both feet blindly trusting Christ for everything, right from the start. Good. For others it's a matter of trusting Christ a little at a time as Faith Grows each time Christ proves Himself. It's a slower Growth, but it is Growth, and it's all good. As you do Grow in Faith, compare notes with other Believers, talk over the Things the Lord is doing for you, and your Faith will grow even more. As we lift each other up in prayer, we grow in community and fellowship as the attraction of this world falls away. This Walk in Christ is where we will, Be Blessed.
