MORNINGTIME 2429

Then said (the Prophet) Jeremiah unto (king) Zedekiah, Thus saith the Lord , the God of hosts, the God of Israel; If thou wilt assuredly go forth unto the (the enemy) king of Babylon's princes, THEN THY SOUL SHALL LIVE, and this city shall not be burned with fire; and thou shalt live, and thine house: But if thou wilt not go forth to the king of Babylon's princes, then shall this city be given into the hand of the Chaldeans, and they shall burn it with fire, and thou shalt not escape out of their hand. Jeremiah 38:17-18. Without getting too complicated, here are the basic facts. The Prophet, Jeremiah, has just told the king to not fight the bad guys, just surrender and you will be allowed to live out your days in peace, you and your family. But if you will fight, or try to sneak away, they will find you and kill you all. Understand, this is a very special work the Lord is doing here and not the typical fight the bad guy scenario. Here's how this works out today, as a question. If a Preacher, Teacher, or even a Joe-Sheeper says he's got a word from the Lord for you, can YOU tell if he really does, or not? Can you trust this person with your Life, or do you listen to him ONLY when you agree with him and his words make sense? And again, is your Preacher a man of God who is truly looking out for you and giving you the Real Word of God, or is he an hireling who thinks the last book in the Bible is the Book of Revolutions? In short, can you "stand on your own two feet" and hear a Word from the Lord Himself into your Life, or are you waiting for others to tell you "This is the way you should go", and hope they're telling you right? There are already many deceived deceivers out there and an hireling is one of them. He sounds good almost all of the time, but when you really need someone to look out for you at "crunch time", HE'S GONE. You MUST be able to stand on your own two feet and KNOW the Voice of the Lord in your Life. Hear HIM, and, Be Blessed.
