And Jesus answered and said unto them, TAKE HEED THAT NO MAN DECEIVE YOU. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. Matthew 24:4-5. Deceive: Thayer's Definition: "To cause to stray, to lead astray, lead aside from the right way, to go astray, wander, roam about". "I am Christ"; as in an UNBELIEVER saying; "I am Christ (himself), I am LIKE Christ, I have been SENT by Christ, I have the AUTHORITY of Christ upon me, and if you doubt me you will be cursed". All these words will unbelieving preachers say to people to try to get, and maintain, a following. Satan himself knows the Word, the Bible, inside and out, he knows Christ, and he knows his end is fast approaching, so he tries to disguise himself as an angel of light and deceive all he can. Just because he has fallen from Grace doesn't make him stupid, but the Work of Christ DOES make him defeated. Unsuspecting lost sinners don't understand this, and Satan wants to keep it that way. Satan's tactics are to keep people "lost" with a continuous stream of misinformation about the Truth. That works well, most of the time. But when someone wants more truth, Satan will send them one of his lost and deceived "preachers" to give them just enough misinterpreted "gospel" to hopefully satisfy that desire for truth. The TV and radio are full of those lost guys and gals today. Once in a while someone truly hungry for "The Truth" will seek past the lies and deception and actually find Christ, find true Repentance, and real Salvation. These people truly are few and far between, churches are full of deceived people. The numbers show 80% of people in church believe themselves to be "saved", Christ said Few there be that find it (salvation). Someone's Deceived, and it's not Christ. Satan is the Master Deceiver, Christ is the Master of ALL TRUTH. Seek Christ and ALL of His Truth, He'll tell you straight, and exactly where you stand in Him and in the world, and how you can, Be Blessed.
