And he said, Take heed that ye BE NOT DECEIVED: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ ; and the time draweth near: GO ye NOT therefore AFTER THEM. Luke 21:8. And Jesus answered and said unto them, TAKE HEED THAT NO MAN DECEIVE YOU. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. Matthew 24:4-5. This is not a wimpy little christ trying to encourage you to not be fooled by silly theology, this is a Christ with the Full Power and Authority of God Almighty behind Him, eyes blazing with fire, looking at the Heart of His Bride and emphatically demanding, "DON'T BE FOOLED, ONLY FOLLOW ME AND NO ONE ELSE". It may have been said with the same importance as you telling your children not to play on the busy interstate. Christ Loves His Bride and doesn't want anyone outside messing with Her, and no one inside losing focus on Christ and His Directives. He's not telling us to be careful, HE'S REQUIRING US to be so diligent that no one and no thing deceive us under any condition. We have the Full Power and Authority of the Shed Blood of Christ to stop Satan in his tracks when he tries to mess with us. We have the Holy Spirit pointing out every little trick and trap for us to watch out for and totally avoid. And we can KNOW that everything that comes to us today has to go through the Throne Room first and be allowed of God The Father FOR OUR GROWTH. There is no "whatever will be will be" stuff here. It's ALL for our good, for our growth into CHRISTLIKENESS and nothing less. Christ is as serious as it comes when He tells us to not be Deceived. We don't have to fall into sin just to learn about sin. But if we do fall, He's quick to Forgive us as we grow from it and hopefully not do that again. No Father wants his kids to learn things the hard way, Obedience is ALWAYS better. The Holy Spirit will teach us the "sinless" way, if we will listen to Him. So listen to The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, walk in Obedience, and, Be Blessed.
