He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon (the things of this world), who will commit to your trust the true riches (of Jesus Christ)? And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own? No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. YE CANNOT SERVE GOD AND MAMMON. Luke 16:10-13. This is probably the last one of this little series of 4 on "Faithful with the Little Things". And it will end with the question, Where do we find what a man looks like in Obedience to Faithfulness as described in these verses? The best answer is, "In Jesus Christ". Ya, but you say that about Christ for everything!!! Yes, because Christ IS our example, illustration, and Way of doing anything and EVERYTHING, because HE DID IT ALL. As far as being our example, He was Obedient to His Father to the very end, and more. Here's the problem of using Christ as our example. HE SHOWED US THAT MAN CAN FOLLOW GOD IN ALL THINGS, AND THAT WE NO LONGER HAVE ANY EXCUSE NOT TO DO THE SAME. That kicks in the teeth ANY and ALL excuses we might try to use to justify our occasional disobedience's. I'm being very conservative here with the word "occasional". To live like Christ will look JUST LIKE CHRIST, with the same results as Christ had while He was here on this earth. Except for the crucifixion, you too will probably die a martyrs death in these days and times. How many people actually LOOK like they're living A CHRIST-LIKE Life? You decide. The real question is, Are they GROWING into Christ-likeness? With a Heart fully sold out to Christ their life will daily be changing to more and more like Christ, and less and less like the world. In This Life, they WILL, Be Blessed.
