MORNINGTIME 2453

Thou therefore ENDURE HARDNESS, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. NO MAN that warreth ENTANGLETH HIMSELF with the affairs of this life; that he may please Him Who hath chosen him to be a soldier. 2 Timothy 2:3-4. So, what kind of "ENDURE HARDNESS" are we talking about here? As far as the world goes, (and what the world says people should get), we are underpaid, underappreciated, over worked, over looked, laughed at, abused and even killed, for our Faith. And just in case the world beating up on us isn't enough, we too join in the fray to try to finish us off with dying to self, killing the old man nature, and working on destroying the "flesh". This is starting to sound like the Lord uses the world to bring us to our own "death and destruction" If there's something in our life the Lord doesn't want there, He'll directly point it out to us with the Hope that we'll invite Him to remove it And if we don't, He'll use the world to get at whatever He's trying to get at until we say, "Thanks Lord, I see that I didn't need that thing after all". What does a Good Soldier fight? Sin and evil. Where does this fight start? IN US FIRST, to kill and destroy all the inside influences of flesh, self, and the old man nature in our personal and spiritual walk with the Lord. As it takes a while to establish a beachhead of Holiness, Righteousness, and Purity inside us, it will continue to grow into a Victorious Lifestyle called CHRISTLIKENESS. Christ won this battle for us 2000 years ago, we're just working on the final mop up operations. There are times we can stop to examine ourselves for worldly filth still hanging on and ask a Brother or Sister to look at places we can't see to point out a problem we are blind to, so the Lord can remove it. SIN HAS TO GO, and the Bible, the Lord, and Friends are always invited to show us our faults so Christ can Deal with the faults and draw us unto Himself. A Soldiers Life is Brutal, and Christ makes it a Joy to be Victorious, and to, Be Blessed.
