MORNINGTIME 2464

Verily, verily, I say unto you, IF A MAN KEEP MY SAYING, he shall never see death. John 8:51. "If a man keep my saying", is up for great debate. Some consider the sayings of Christ as a few of the Ten Commandments. Others say if you're not keeping all the Commandments throughout the whole Bible, you're not following Christ. How you interpret this verse is how we get so many different denominations, faiths, and versions of "christian". This verse actually allows almost anyone to call them self "christian" and to actually believe they are. And as a "christian", you'll never see the gates of hell, just a smiling Jesus waiting to usher you into heaven. This is why 80% of people in church believe they're "christian" and heaven bound. This is an easy conclusion to come to if you only read a few verses in the Bible that are favorable to your belief. This is why it is vitally important that you read the whole Bible as it is full of checks and balances to confirm and conform a Believer into CHRISTLIKENESS. When you take Christ's definitions of the words Christian and Believer that group of 80%  starts to whittle down to maybe 10 - 15%. Broad is the way of most church-going people who are content to follow their own definition of "christian". Narrow is the way of the True Believers of Christ who continually seek His Face, ask His Way, and desire to Obey His every command, as they travel on the narrow path to the Heavenlies. They will continually check with Christ, the Bible, and other Believers to rest in the Assurance they are following Christ. Being a Christian is not a One-Shot deal but a continuing daily devotion to a Risen Savior. The Bible says that most anybody can deceive themself into believing they are a Christian. Only the True Believers, the Followers of Christ, people Obedient to His Word, can Biblically prove their claim to be Christian. They will continually test themselves and each other in the assurance that they belong to Christ and will, Be Blessed.
