MORNINGTIME 2485

And I say unto you MY FRIENDS, BE NOT AFRAID of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: FEAR HIM, WHICH after he hath killed HATH POWER TO CAST INTO HELL; yea, I say unto you, FEAR HIM. Luke 12:4-5. In the "church" in America today, there is no fear of God. Here's an illustration. If you have no fear of your local police department, you'll wave at them as they drive by, even talk nicely to them at the local restaurant, but as soon as they are gone, you'll continue to speed, run through stop signs, and generally live as though they have no effect on your life. None of this nullifies the real authority the do have, you just don't care. You do what you want because there will never be a day of reckoning, a day when you will be held accountable for the things you've done. This is "justified" because you  have a certain morality standard of things you will, and won't, do, WHEN IT'S CONVENIENT FOR YOU. "I'm a good person, I have good standards, and I ALWAYS stop at stop signs, except when I'm running late". With no fear of the police, you now become a law unto yourself. With no fear of God in church, you continue to be A Law unto yourself. The Laws that God requires us to follow are  nice to follow, but if they start to cramp our lifestyle, we just don't bother with them. We will pick and choose the ones we like, and the ones we don't like, and follow the ones we don't like. How do we justify this? That's easy, "God knows my heart", "Those laws are antiquated anyway", or, "God  understands". We justify everything we want to follow and throw out the rest. The reason for all this "do our own thing" is that we don't fear the God of the Bible. WHEN A CHURCH LOSES ITS FEAR OF THE LORD, HIS RULES GO OUT THE WINDOW AND WE BECOME A LAW UNTO OURSELVES, FOLLOWING A god OF OUR  OWN MAKING. Since we all know the "Judge not" rules, no one has the right to judge us by the Bible. Yet we still want to, Be Blessed?
